Can anyone confirm the correct fuel hose for the under-bonnet fuel fittings? I've had no luck finding the right spec in the FSM- MA, EFEC or FE sections. I've got a length of hose marked with: "H511 Automotive fuel hose SAE 30 R6 WP12 Bar 10 5/16" " Firstly, can anyone confirm this is the right spec, or suggest a better one? I seem to recall R6 relates to the heat rating. Obviously 10Bar is the pressure rating- 10bar = 145psi (standard fuel runs at ~80 psi IIRC?) Is there a better size than 5/16"? Is 8mm preferable?
30R9 in 5/16" You can get genuine 8mm hose from coz (maybe from Nissan too?) but gates & dayco are all 5/16" I think. If you're buying new hose check out gates green shield "barrier" hose -exceeds 30R9 heat & pressure ratings and is alcohol/biofuel safe.
