Dose anyone know how good the Mitsu FTO is? I'm looking at getting the old man one ('95 auto) as a 3rd or 4th (or something) car to get around in that he won't have to worry about maintainence, fuel, keeping the interior too clean, etc... basically a kick around car that looks pretty good. Things I want to know: Maintenence (I have heard they have good engines) Common problems Anything else I should know. I'm currently scouring FTO Australia, but thought I'd check with you guys as well.

fto.. 6A12 twin cam mivec 2.0l inline 6.. FWD, heavy for a 2.0l - something like 1250-1300kg - I think they make around 130kw at the engine though, and I'm pretty sure they cop the same rap as the 300, about the whole hard to maintain tight engine bay. The interiors are nice and they come with a lot of creature comforts like all wheel discs, climate control etc. I only know people who own them through my old mitsu club, but I'm pretty sure they are fairly reliable.. and i think they look pretty hot

They are not too bad My sis has one as her daily driver It's the same as the Z maintenance is defiantly a key thing, But it is a bit of a PITA To service some parts i.e. Fuel filter for one It's still a Good solid car that sticks to the road like S**T to a blanket But it's no fun till 4K as it has F**k ALL Torque till mivec kicks in Hope this helps
I just signed up on there today - same nic as on here... only posted in the newb sec and crawling through all the other info I can find. Seems like overall a good, relatively reliable car... just the alternator commonly problematic by the looks. I don't need it to be fast, the old man is looking for a good car too. Thanks everyone!!!
