Just before I purchased my zed at the beginning of June it was fitted with the Japtek adjustable camber arms purchased from this buy http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/showthread.php?t=309433&highlight=adjustable+camber+arms
I haven't noticed any noises or difference in the steering but
today I put the car up on stands so the weight is completely off the suspension ( going to fit some new intercoolers and clean up underneath ) then i found that there is movement in the upper control arms when i rock the wheels verticaly, there isn't any play in the bushes,
Is it normal to have movement there when the weight is off the suspension?
I thought it should all feel tight, could they be buggered only after 2000kms?
    your thoughts please
    Bruce

Is the movement in the bearings, or in the centre adjustment?
Bearings should not wear that quickly, but the screw adjustment area is the real "weak spot" for ALL of this style of adjustable arms(I know, I've had them all).:(

    Thanks Chilli
the movement appears to be at the screw adjustment at the end closest to the body, if it has worn that quickly could it be faulty?
Is there anybody from Japtek on this forum that could answer some Questions?

Either it's clamp collar is not tightened, or the thread is worn/wearing out.
As has been discussed numerous times by JP at UAS, this style of arm is less than perfect, due to the twisting motion which occurs throughout the vertical travel of your suspension. The bushes of your OEM Arms absorb most of this, but ball-race types do not.

Still the exact same problem with these. :(
The ends will try to twist at the locknut area(and something has to "give").:eek:

Wouldn't the bushing have enough give?

I'm assuming they are Energy Suspension bushes, in which case they would be firmer than stock bushes, so not as deflective as OEM. This will place more stress on the narrow threaded section(in my experience).:zlove:

prob just needs some spaces/washes on the outside of the arms. screw the ends in then put some washes on the ends untill there is no play and bolt it up... (if this is what ur referring to)
