Well the problem is the top coilover rubber has worn away. Iv pulled the whole coilover off and was looking to replace the lot when I realized it's quite a good set up hight and damper adjustable with a dual spring set up. New full set is worth around 1500. I'm looking to just replace the rubber now but can't for the life of me find one. Don't really want a second hand one and not sure on the brand either. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Lol they are filthy dirty. I originally thought they were black till I got in and pulled em out. They are the colour of tiens but can't say for certain. Il clean em up and take a pic.

So I just need a stock replacement or is that the reason it's worn away? Is also a little damage from where it's obviously been rubbing. Think I might hafta replace the front struts.

Reason it's so covered in grease is the last owner just drove it and obviously didn't care for it! Hate how he joined the twin exhaust into a single 4 inch after the muffler then through a stupid cannon! Hate hate hate! Il be replacing that when the funds arise! All in due time. Doesn't help I have two other projects too lol.

Find out where the oil / grease is coming from first

Just replacing the rubbers will not fix the cause, yes a stock replacement rubber will work. oil / grease does not mix well with rubber in general. new front shocks may be needed if the Teins are stuffed.

It's not really the strut just a hmm it's almost like a color or a washer that's been rubbing against other metal when the rubber failed. I should be able to replace it. Think il keep an eye out for a set of front struts anyways.
