QLD Friday Drift Practice

I will be heading out to QR this Friday the 31st for drift practice. For others that want to come out and have a go, its $10 entry, $80 to get on track and if you dont have a AASA licence its $35 for the night or $55 for a year. If you don't want to participate still come out. Its a great atmosphere and if you have never seen drifting in person, its amazing what some people can do.

someone should get out there with a video camera! would like to come out but i have to work till 10

 

Well, if all goes well with my gearbox tomorrow, I should have time to get my camber arms and castor rods in and alligned too, then I will be out for a slide. Would really like to try out these coilovers. Failing that, I'll be there with the camera!

 

I might be out there to have a watch. Be good to see a zed slide around

 

I walked away from last months session angry because I just couldn't get the car to hold a decent drift. Mostly because my spare diff was stuffed and was single legging. And i broke my Iphone that night.

However last night was an absolute blast. Locked diff made a HUGE difference. I had heaps more angle in all the corners and it was so easy to control. I cant believe how much better it was. And my Iphone still works.

By far the best night I have had out there. Pity I cant find any photos online as there would have been some good shots coming around turn 6.

 

Oh and I'm gonna unlock the diff and try a smaller shim. There is no way I'm gonna drive around with a locked diff. I aint no cowboy. Its annoying and dangerous.

 

Good to hear Al! Sorry I missed it, was completely drained by the end of the day. Kicking myself for not going though. They don't run them as often as they used to.
