I managed to get a balance factor of 47% (overbalance) without having to add any malory metal to the counter weights. They actually had to take more weight off the crank as the crower rod/acl piston combo was about 1.5kg lighter than the stock components. I think ~260g / rod/piston lighter. I believe 47% is what ashz managed to get. The balance factor was closer to 30-35% stock. Im just waiting on the oil pump to arrive from the sates - the block will be fully assembled once that is here. I can get clearance info etc later as i'm about to head out. Kit should be here within a week? *cough* graham?
what kit is that? and how much did it cost to get your crank and rods and pistons balanced as an assembly?
A 47% balance factor in a V6 is very creditable when you consider reciprocating, hybrid and rotating weight. Should have a high rev range Method, what are you expecting?
