just needing a bit of info regarding this. i really want to take my zed for a burn around barbagallo or wanneroo race track or something like that, and i know you can buya couple of laps, but i also know that their are a bit of requirements before you can race, one you have to belong to a car club, got that covered, and two, you have to have a thing called a CAMS license, what is this and how can i obtain one.

thanks guys for any info you can provide.:thumbsup:

    Track day

NAVO, every few weeks the WA Sporting Car Club (WASCC) runs a "tuning day" at Barbagello. I go regularly. This is a post that I made in another forum:

Heres an idea; come to Barbagallo Raceway this Sat.

AFARCC (www.allfours.org.au) are having a track day there that day.

I'll be there. Zisluv and BlackiceTT will be hitting the track. I can explain motorsport a bit better to ya on the day.

Entry is free. Invite is open to everyone.

Track opens at about 9am and will be open the whole day.

For Zisluv and BlackiceTT: you gotta be there at 8am.

If anyone has any questions etc, call me on 0414 329 369.

Three tuning days a month isn't there.

Two are weekdays, the third is a weekend. Weekends generally can get busy and first timers out there can feel pretty intimidated. Weekday tuning days are far more empty and less intimidating.

Apart from not knowing many people, they are the cheapest ways to get out on the track. For track days with more of a social environment join a car club. Im a member of All Fours and Rotaries. Their track days are alot of fun and have great people around. Also have instructors on hand to give you tips and a hand in how to get the most of your car, the track and the day :)
