Ive been searching for the past 2 hours but all I can find is part numbers, I'm after the specs on the bolts that attach a manual flywheel to the crank. I'm having a crack at a manual conversion this weekend but have no flywheel bolts. Too late to have them delivered, so they need to be sourced locally at a bolt shop. Cant find anything in the workshop manual either. Help would be MUCH appreciated Cheers, Jordan.
they are a high tensile bolt wit a special low profile head. Be careful what you use, the shanks have to be correct. i would order the right ones and wait
I should wait I know, but the car's been sitting for over two years waiting for it lol. Plus, I'm doing it with my dad, and it's IMPOSSIBLE to get him to do anything, I fell off my chair when he said he wanted to do it this weekend! Waiting a week for the correct bolts would mean waiting 6-8 months for him to get his ass into gear again Cheers, Jordan.
You wont be able to buy those bolts anywhere. They are as mentione a high tensile but extra fine metric thread (IIRC M10 x 1.0) thread which is not used on anything except flywheel bolts on some Nissans and Subarus lmao!!!! Your going to have to learn to wait and extra few days and like it m8!!!!!!! E
I had this problem not long ago when I lost my bolts, I got arp ones off ebay. Seriously don't skimp on substandard bolts I think they are grade 12.1 or something? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/ARP-FLYW...-NISSAN-SILVIA-SR20-200SX-180sx-/120966222240
I just bought a set from Coz, they're like $5.80ea not hugely expensive. Helps if you're already getting some big stuff sent over though... That ARP set seems pretty reasonable
