FIX - For running ROUGH over fueling and when you just touch the accelerator the revs drop and engine almost stalls...

this started to happen about once a week ... and then if you stopped the car it would not start for about an hour or more... (wet plugs I suspect) ....

This progressively got worse till I gave up and let the car sit for a few months in disgust and rode my Bike (Honda VTR1000sp1) to work instead .... Temperature is getting colder here now so I thought I might finally have a look at the Zed.....

Hooked up the Laptop and ConZult (best investment ever) .. and had a
So I sat the laptop on the roof and went to the engine bay (OH also after 15 minutes of running the eng/water temp was indicating ~18 Degrees C)
and wiggled the Yellow plug below:

All of a sudden the Thermo comes on and the Conzult Temp indicates 80 degrees C.

Closer inspection of the plug after removing clip.. was very GREEN corrosion, mostly probably due to the split cover.... Cleaned it with a points file and some INOX and refitted plug.

HAS NOT MISSED A BEAT SINCE.... Touch wood....

ps. it would appear the plug to the right of the yellow one is for you dashboard gauge only and does not have any baring on the ECU signals. As ConZult from the ECU was showing 18C and the gauge on the dash was fat dumb and happing in the NORMAL range.

pps. YES engine bay (and car in fact) are FILTHY ... LEVEL 5 water restrictions are killing me and I don't have a garage...

ppps. Thought I would post something hopefully useful for my first post in nearly 3 months....

Hope it saves SOMEONE some drama.

Now that`s a funny place for a bleed screw

And you still only have 20plus connections to clean to make it run like it should.:bash:
