so ive only just goten the z and was in a hurry for work this morning. was sitting on west coast highway and when the light changed i took off at about 50% going straight into a power skid. i though hmmmmm thats no good so i changed to second and found the rear of my car in the corner of my car. at that moment in time i wasnt at all worried for myself but was thinking NO NOT MY Z! luckily i recovered and am taking a friendly visit to the tyre store tomorrow....not going to lie though it was extremely cool
Lol my Pintara spins in the wet. Spins in the dry. With great tyres. Parents commodore spinis in the dry. NA zed has a bit of power but wet skidZ are nothing to talk up, makes you look a bit silly really.
My pushbike does skids in the wet or on gravel. I turned my standard, electric RC car into a dwifta years back too. Power slid all over the decking. And that had 0.000001 kws. Seniors can skid better than you.

Silly is the right word. Try hektik fwd drivers trying to power up a wet hill. Skids bro.... but no skids. Seen a few people stall it right at the base of a hill cause they got scared of the sound of the tyres spinning out in the wet....
Better to sell the zed and get a FWD corolla or something. Rope some maccas trays on the rear wheels and have a blast hahaha

My first drive after I got my license was on a snow covered road in a Vee-Dub. Quite scary. Very easy to do a 360 if you take a corner too fast. Everybody should have to go to the skidpan in the dark to qualify to go to their license driving test.
Wow cut the dude some slack - every post is flammed to all buggery. Adding to the stories - i remember one of the first times i got my zed i was driving onto the freeway (just turning onto the on ramp) so i boosted and not really realising there had been sprinklers on just where i had come frop my tires were wet and i would have gone onto the freeway side ways if i hadnt pulled out of the slide... Utterly my fault - but not really caused from a LACK of experience, just an over sight... never once had anything like this happen in my two years of driving an xr6 turbo....
+1 more or less, if you ever experience a tyre blowout in the wet, you won't be joking about it afterwards that's for sure.
Man i have brand new tyres n shiz on my Z and they are special design for the wet. My Z is an auto and i need to put it into hold when driving in the wet or i spin liek crazy.. Useualy if there is a gap my car will fit in, im able to take it seeing as though i can reach 60k pretty quick from a stop start, in the wet i found id try to take the same gap and the Z would just be chillin not moving anywhere, then id step off the gass and the back would snap back into grip. Freaked me out but yer, you gotaa be carefull.
WTF Robbo, feel sorry for you mate, NO I actually feel sorry for these other dickheads that burn a guy for telling the story of his first episode in the wet, when did he talk himself up?, this forum is getting to the stage where if you post something, no matter what you are going to get burnt. as an older (40 something year old ) member of the forum it is getting to the stage that I am seriously thinking of not staying on just because of this sillyness. Some members should just have a good look at themsalves and think before they post stupid shit in reply's. Just my 2cents worth
