hey guys, just thought i would post up to tell you all about what i have done over the last couple of days, had a few things wrong with my car so i fixed a bunch of em! 1st thing was, the front bumper (vs c2) had torn the bolts through the fibreglass and it was drooping down, maybe a inch (is ALOT of clearence on a car with 10cm normally).... that was a fun thing considering when i saw the pics for the car to purchase it, and it was fine... then i get it and BAM it was damaged, looks like someone scraped out on it majorly. so with the front bar, i took it off, made custom brackets (more surface area for the bolts) and put washers on all of the bolts holding the front bar, whilst it was off, while being a C2 front bar had no front indicators, so i relocated some indicators and wired them all in... weird thing is they flash fast still.... when using the signal individually, but if i use hazzards they flash normal speed? no idicator or fuse is out on either side. another thing i done, had to change the license plate to legal... well as legal as possible. spaced it out and put a custom LED strip up to illuminate it, since its infront of the old numberplate lights... thanks a heap to PEXZED who helped me with the idea and setup (works a treat thanks mate!). i tried to work out my horn and a little on my aircon... one mate said that my aircon radiator is missing... spose that could be the reason the aircon dont work... also noticed my car only has 1 horn... does the 300 have 2? 1 for high 1 for low? if so ones missing, think ill just get a after market horn! wire it up myself so i know its done right. hmm what else. well my car doesnt have a radiator fan shroud, so it had no bonnet stand, so using some radiator clamps supplied by Fleet, made a custom bonnet holder stand... i now have a bonnet holder! woot. hmm couple of weeks ago i replaced the lower radiator hose with a alloy one from caz, went down perfect, and mouted it in tighter then it was in before. also had some interior trim missing, replaced that (thanks again fleet!). the gear knob was also one of alan key ones, so it came off all the time... so i replaced it with a stock one ( i like the look ) and will be replacing the leathers on the shifter and on the handbrake back to stock. few more things still to do to the car, but i have plenty of time and they dont require it being off the road! things like wiring up guages, stripping paint of some interior pieces ( hate that cheap paint people use on interiors). will be such a relief to drive the car around knowing that the police cant rape me now! fixed up heaps of illegal things, will feel alot better now. majority of the things i was doing was fixing potential defects, havnt driven my car around all that much, will be so glad to drive her around again! will give her a nice throgho clean tomorrow :zlove: :zlove: whats the point of posting this? i just done the work and thought id let you all know! always feels better to share. alright guys thats all from me, have a great day. oh another thing i done, the lil wiper jets, wouldnt squirt out shit... checked the lines no blockage, so replaced the lil squirters with valves. they squirt beautiful... turns out shit just gets stuck in there, like polish wax etc. clogs it up.
