Hey all Just got finished with an epic morning. Driving home and got a blow out on my front passengers side - limped to the nearest servo and then got a tow home (as i took the jack out a few days prior during clean up and didnt put it back in....) The space saver is now on, rim with the blow out isnt damaged at all so thats a bonus. It turns out that my tyres have been wearing unevenly on the front, drivers is a little scrubbed on the inside but the passengers was well fooked, tho I looked at it a week ago and booked in for a tyre change it was nowhere near that bad. When the rim was taken off it was down to the wire and had 3 holes in the wall - tho im guessing that damage came from driving on it for a few K's.... (i was on a highway, the servo was at the end of it) Given that I had front camber arms and a wheel alignment only a few months back... I might go and have a little chat to the man at the store. methinks his reading was a little out. QUESTION: What do i need to be concerned of when driving with a space saver fitted? One of the yellow jap ones, properly inflated. Slower than usual, take it easy in corners? Also, when going for a small test drive around the burbs I noticed a fair amount of white smoke/steam from both exhausts. Checked oil press, coolant temp, levels, etc and all is norm, idle is fine. Produces more with revs. Leaves no/little residue on paper held on the exhaust when idling. QUESTION: Since the car was loaded tail first on the truck, could this just be condensation in the exhausts? Just want to make sure is all. Thanks guys! Andy PS: Zeds look weird with space savers fitted If you want to talk to me on msn about it. where_is_wally@hotmail.com
First off, you are a fag. Secondly, you are still a fag. When tyres start to wear unevenly, they will continue to do so, even it the alignment is changed. When you get new tyres fitted, just keep an eye on tread wear... You did have a lot of front camber, so no wonder your tyres are fooked. I'm sure it is just condensation, stop being such a fag.
