For real? Was it just the mufflers? If you went the whole way, did you notice your bottom and mid end power disappear? The car would be pretty doughy to drive.
NA will always be louder than turbo -the turbocharged motor has two additional mufflers hanging off the manifold

If you went straight from a standard system to a performance oriented 3" there's be a huge difference, even just doing the mufflers and cats on the standard system can make a big difference.
