exhaust noise??

Hey Everyone guess what, i gots a "new" zed to play with till i get my full license cause its a TT.. :zlove:

I am unsure whether its a problem but the car has a sort of low feq. popping noise thru the exhaust during a fast idle, is this anything to be worried about and also what could be the cause. im thinking its the tiny holes in the exhaust i have to patch up until i can afford a catback system to replace that tail exhaust section.

Also it does take its time to turn over, like a good second or two before it starts even when hot.. does anyone know what this might be or could help me out on the subject??

Its never taken me more than a second to turn over, my Zed is very eager to get going lol. As for the popping, i wouldnt know, sorry mate.

 

if it was holes you would know...
is it a stock exhaust system ? ..

 

have you taken out the AIV.S they will make a gurgle sound at an idle or fast idle somtimes from water build up in the aiv tanks under the inner gaurds

 

for your starting issies I would check your plugs to begin with. the Popping soundI can not help with at all.

 

Popping noise can be a exhaust leak or stuffed plugs[ Fuel igniting exhaust pipes ]
