sorry i only just noticed your question...

the water pump pulleys are standard size... we are looking into making some smaller (overdrive) pulleys for the water pump but don't have the prototype yet.

can you answer my question to please 'do they have timing marks on them?'

of course they do... just the standard mark like the stock pulley.

I'm in too, Accessory kit. TT with NA PS pulley.
At this stage i'll go silver, but if we end up needing more numbers to make up for a blue set I might go that way.

    Cheers

Is this the official group buy thread, or are you going to start a new thread Tom ?

Provided an overdrive water pulley, I'm in for a TT pulley kit. Happy with either silver or blue

can I ask why you would need an overdrive water pulley?

    for the street :
As I have been running an alloy UDP and dont have a problem at all sits on 82 degrees all day ...hottest ever was 85 degrees in traffic in 38degree heat..

    for track car :
you would want the water pump slightly slower for a constant revving motor so not to cause cavitation ?...

99.9% of cars with an underdrive pulley really don't need an overdrive water pump pulley if their cooling system is up to scratch, but most people purchase the overdrive water pump pulleys to return the water pump speed back to the 'stock value'.

A few years ago when the overdrive water pump pulley wasn't even thought of, everyone used to get around with UDP's with stock water pump pulleys, no problems at all.... It's just the change in times and many zedders like to be on the safe side. :)

Anyway, let's not debate this in the for sale section, it's something to be looked at via the search menu! :)

I just thought I'd give everyone a bit of an update. We had a few fitment issues with some of the prototype pulleys so we've got a few more prototypes being machined up at the moment. :)

Just a quick question: Any idea if these are going to be balanced, or come close to as balanced as possible? If I recall I think Unique Autosports did some testing on balancing between the Ross Harmonic Balancer, the stock one and a GFB Underdrive Pulley and found a substantial amount of mass had to be removed from one side of the Underdrive Pulley to balance it.
Cheers! If my financial status improves sooner rather than later, i'll be looking into these :D

    That's a good question...

Like the UDP, GFB and AMS pulleys, they won't be balanced out of the box. The accessory pulleys do not require balancing, it's just not worth worrying about. The crank pulley should be balanced if you're rebuilding and balancing the rotating assembley. Otherwise, the weight of the crank pulley itself isn't enough to cause a vibration and the pulley itself isn't a harmonic balancer.

We will be offering a balancing service for the crank pulley if anyone requires it, prices are yet to be confirmed.
