SA EOI:Dyno Day at Classic Performance Dyno Centre on 14th August 2010

Okay, here we go guys (n gals)!

Sorry for the delay, but I have had a very busy week!

This is for an Expression of Interest for a Dyno Day at Classic Performance Dyno Centre in Hackham (Down South). The addy is:

I have been having speaks with Ashley who runs Classic Dyno and he is happy to accommodate us.

The plan is to have the day between the two track days at Mallala on the 14th of August, so that anyone having issues on the first day can have some quality diag time on the Dyno to identify problems. Please let me know what you think of timing.

We need a minimum of 10 cars and a maximum of 15. The cost will be $50 per car. The format for the Dyno Day at Classic Performance Dyno Centre is as follows.

1) Entrant registration and lodgement of forms.
2) Precheck of vehicles Prior to running (to be performed in conjunction with Adelaide Z Cars)
(TYRE CONDITION AND PRESSURE, OIL AND COOLANT LEVELS,OIL LEAKS ETC)
3) Vehicles will be lined up in an orderly fashion in the car park spaces marked on the far side of the car park facing towards the Dyno Cell.
4) Only Dyno Centre staff will drive vehicles into the Dyno cell to set them up on th Dyno and connect appropriate monitoring equipment.
5) Vehicle owner is requested to sit in the passenger seat to observe whilst on the Dyno(during Dyno operation)
Other entrants and spectators are invited to observe from the customer viewing lounge on the wide screen monitor or the double glazed viewing window.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE DYNO CELL IS RUN AS A CLOSED CELL FOR COOLING , AIR FLOW , SAFETY,INSURANCE, ENVIRONMENTAL , POLLUTION AND NOISE REASONS.
Video filming can be permitted by arrangement only with Dyno Staff.
6) The vehicle is started and run at various throttle openings (after warm up) to check Fuelling and Timing and report any issues.
7) A speedometer check at various speeds is performed and verbally reported on the results.
8) An initial power ramp test is performed and completed (providing no issues such as detonation or excessively lean mixtures are encountered, AT THE DYNO OPERATORS DISCRETION).
9) A further one or two power runs are performed ( if safe) and the best result printed for the owner plus a print out for a run monitor board (LOCATED IN THE WORKSHOP).
10) Vehicle is allowed to idle down prior to being removed from the Dyno cell.

So as you can see it is much more than 2 or 3 power runs, 5 minutes...NEXT! Ashley and his crew are very professional. Time and care will be taken to identify any issues your boy (or girl) is having.

Baz and Jo at Adelaide Z Cars have been good enough to host a BBQ (Breakfast or Lunch, we will decide that later...or both!!). All I ask is a gold coin donation towards the food on the day. I think this will be a great opportunity for those that have not met Barry and Jo to get to know them.

So we will start the list of people interested. Once we have at least 10 I will email the registration forms and will be asking for a $10 deposit to secure your position. The remaining $40 needs to be paid on the day. I hope we can get the numbers ASAP, if we don't get numbers by the start of July, then we may have to re-assess.

This will be a whole day event as each car will take about 30mins. So with 15 that's roughly 7.5 hours with a lunch break.

If we don't have at least 10 cars, unfortunately this day may not be going ahead, so even if you have a couple of cars or you know someone who would be interested, pop them on the list!

All I can say is that Ashley has been very helpful and if you check their website you can see that they run a very good operation.

I hope I haven't left anything out and any questions, please let me know. Lets get 15 cars here guys n gals. SA is not dead!
