    Hi all

Some of you may know already but for the others that dont here is the short story. Last summer I ran several Koyo radiator GB's and since my supplier has sort of dried up and become a little unreliable and the pricing was not that good anymore compared to PWR units. So the search began for a suitable replacement to fill that affordable OEM replacement zone of $400 - $550. After a bit of searching I got onto Vuk at a company called AMS, these guys are based in Canada and have reworked the Koyo design into there own unit and now sell and market these units under there company branding AMS.
The guys were kind enough to send me a unit last year at cost and sent it for free so it could be evaluated with a view to bring them to our shores. Here is a few links about the units and comparos etc I carried out

I have been in discussions with the partners at AMS and we are investigating the pricing and feasibility of drop shipping some orders directly here for the Australian market. At this stage it looks promising but interest in this product needs to be gauged before I commit time and financial resources into bringing these here.

Apart from carrying out the visual and fitment tests etc I also tested the unit in my car under race conditions and Big Baz has since taken ownership of the test unit and has been happily keeping his zed cool in Sydney traffic every day now for a few months.

    SPECS

The AMS radiator measures 595mm wide x 475mm high, features a 57mm core with end tanks measuring 70mm thick by 45mm wide. The core used has a fin spacing measurement of 45 fins per square inch actual. The radiator comes with a 1.3 bar cap and has an alloy top bleed bung, brass tee style drain bung and 1 1/8 inlet and outlet pipes in the factory locations. the cap neck also features an overflow pipe fitted and the end tanks have the facility for attaching the stock fan shroud. The overall build quality is of a good quality the welds have good beading and joint lapping and is of a suitable quality to be expected from a machine weld. I especially like the brass drain cock and although its a disimilar metal think its a nice touch and can potentially last longer than the traditional plastic style cocks. The radiator comes with an AMS laser etched top panel tacked onto the end plates and AMS logo sprayed on to the fins.

    TIMEFRAME

At the moment there is no set timeframe for these units. We are still discussing options etc. It is estimated that once the order is placed it can be filled and delivered within around 10 weeks maybe earlier if drop shipped direct from the supplier in Asia. These are many of the details which need to be finalised and will be done should interest in this product be acceptable

This offer is also open to businesses PM me for wholesale pricing etc and further discussions.

These units are not the be all and end all of radiators they are produced for a price and marketed at a very good attractive price and offers a budget cooling solution for zed owners who simply cannot afford the more expensive products out there. These units are made to the highest quality levels for the price and I think they are great. In fact I only upgraded to the twin pass PWR for racing purposes.
