EOI: Alcantara?

    Curious as to whether people would be interested in this material.

    For those that don't know what it is, it's a suede like material that is used in cars such as the Lamborghini Reventon, Audi R8, Maserati Quattroporte, Ferrari F430 Scuderia and many more. Here's a few pics

    I can get my hands on two types of the automotive Alcantara. Alcantara Pannel and Alcantara Cover

    Pannel:
    Composition: 68% Polyester, 32% Polyurethane
    Thickness 0.80mm
    Unit weight: 230g/m^2
    Width >=142cm

    Wear resistance: > 30,000 cycles

    Cover:
    Composition: 68% Polyester, 32% Polyurethane
    Backing: 65% Polyester, 35% cotton
    Thickness 0.95mm
    Unit weight: 325g/m^2
    Width >=142cms

    Wear resistance >30,000cycles

    Here are the available colours:

    Pricing: I don't have the correspondence with the supplier because my computer crashed, but from memory I'd place the pricing at a tentative:

    120$ sq/yard for the pannel, and 160$ sq/yard for cover.
