    5K1TZX Its all never ending....

Hey everyone. My engine is getting pulled this week for my lovely turbo upgrade to finally complete my 3 year build up of my Z :D, so now is a good chance to make the bay look more empty and tidy. As I (same with everyone :p) is on a budget but I have a lil amount to waste so Im wondering how much roughly in labour would I be looking into, at least, to hide the main fuse box and wiring loom, the small relay box in the top left near ABS, removal of the hicas soleniod and hide most of the wiring that runs along the top of the firewall??

Heres my bay and what I want out from eyes view :)

Get the NA power steering gear and you can remove the Hicas all together..

The fuse box can sit under the LH headlight or what ive done is put it under the nose panel with extending 2 wires... you'll need a small plate of steel to bolt on under the headlight and it will sit on top... the plate will protect it from the water (though i'm putting it in another sealed box anyway)

If you have removed your EGR and AIV which I suggest you do... there will be a space under your fender for the drivers fuse box (no extending wires) will be protected by your splash guards but I will also have another box for that anyway). You can do the same with the fuel filter on the passenger side.. get a few rubber gromits, drill some holes and thread the fuel line through... can remove more of the fuel hard pipes this way... with your AIV and all that gear gone alot of vacuum lines will also be removed...

The wires at the back, alot can be dropped down behind the engine.. the + wire goes to the started motor and a the small fuse box which once relocated, a new hole can be drilled under the brake cylinder to alow for the plug to pass through... this means that + wire will be 1/2 a foot below the plenum and out of sight...

Where the Hicas is there are a bunch of plugs sitting in that drivers corner... unplug them and pull them through the head light hole... run the engine side harness under the chassis rail to completely remove it from sight and they just plug straight back up with no mods...

Unplug everything and see where else you can run them... very easy..

Get the harness... pull all the skanky bits of tape off it and retape it with a few rolls of black electrical tape... looks 100000000x better..

I'm only a NA but still have most bits TTs do... all that is going back in to this engine bay is the power steering resi, radiator and batt... thats it... and only extended 2 wires...

Hope this helps... I'll post up more pics later when the other bits are installed in their new homes... I've even relocated my horns lol
