    On the back of a car clock there are 4 terminals with the following markings:
    E-          earth I assume
    D+
    C+
    L+

    What do the other letters stand for ?

    My guess would be

    E = Earth
    D = Dim
    C = Constant
    L = Accessories (because it's the only one left)
    Like I said, just my guess, the way to test the power an accessories is like so;
    Get a multimeter (or a simple test light)
    turn the car off, see which one has power (Constant battery feed)
    Then turn the car to accessories (lights off)
    and see which other one has power (accessories, I'm assuming that the Dimmer wire would have no power due to the lights being off)Then the other 2 will be Earth and Dimmer. :)
