-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi All Mate I have a strange one. When I operate my foglight switch on the right hand pod it switchs overdrive off?? When I start car lights come on automatically, I select reverse they go off, nuetral on, drive off. Overdrive switch on selector has now stopped working but if I switch fogs on using right hand pod switch OD goes off, switch fogs off have OD back on. Any ideas where the problem might be??? Wild stab in the dark, but Fog light switch also turns on Park lights and dash lighting, which has a single bulb illumination circuit for the auto shifter. Inspect the loom underneath the shifter surround- matter of pulling the stereo fascia (4 screws, unplug stereo and clock) and then shifter surround (2 screws at front, 1 screw concealed beneath ashtray, clips on the sides and unplug mirror control and cigarette lighter). Can completely pull shifter surround by selecting 1st to access 2x phillips head screws on shifter and sliding it up. Exercise caution as the spring loaded shift knob will spring out. From there, you can unplug OD wiring and shift selector illumination.
I like your thinking there OZ. Seen some weird stuff happen from looms being crushed by metal, or pierced by screws.
Mate spent all arvo on it got me buggered couldn't find anything obvious apart from the selector shaft detaching itself from the box thank god I was at home
