Electrical sensor diagram??

I've been searching the tech section but the word I am using are showing everything but what I'm after ..

A week or two ago I say a diagram in relation to a problem which showed each sensor connector and the position in the engine bay .. I'm working my way through them on the car but I would like to understand more of what I am doing ..

can anyone point to the diagram please .. I would find it eventually but it might speed up the process if someone knows what to search on ?/ or where to direct me

There is one in the workshop manual, not sure on the section though.
