I'm having troubles fixing this, but I think I have a correct diagnosis. My drivers side auto down won't stop, and once it gets to the end of the gears it forces over the window stop and ends up unmounting the glass ff the rails. Hope I've explained that fine but what I figure is the motor was replaced with a more powerful motor and forces the gears apart. I have remounted and essentially made a quick fix for it, but I can't let it automatically wind down otherwise it grinds and throws the window off the mounts
