Hi guys quick question: what size is the EGR nut from the copper pipe that bolts into the exhaust manifold? i am guessing 20mm or 22mm seeing as i am a stingy bastard and can't be assed walking 10km's to the local tool shop and back for the wrong spanner any help to save 2 trips will be greatly appreciated.

    Regards

Good question , I don't know what type of metal it is either , certainly doesn't look like steel from its colour,
but I suppose it doesn't really matter since it just gets thrown in the garbage bin :p

its definately steel because you can weld it, but i think its treated or coated because mine was hard as to cut of in situ!!

gonna hit it with a set of bolt cutters. broken 2x hacksaw blades already. if it wasn't in such a shit of a place i'd almost consider oxy cutting it.
