ECUTalk v1.3.5 beta6 has been released, which heaps of switch/solenoid sensors.

    ECUTalk v1.3.5 beta6 - Changes from v1.3.5 beta3 below:
    • #18 Display switch/solenoid etc sensors
Of the added switch sensors, 8 are common to petrol/diesel engines, 39 specific to diesel engines, and 39 specific to petrol engines. Each individual engine only supports a subset of these though, around 10-20 on average. ECUTalk v1.3.5 beta6 can be downloaded from latest news post here: ECUTalk

So what does this mean for us Zedders? What would we find useful?

    closed throttle
    start signal
    p/n position
    pw/st signal
    air con sig
    load signal?
    cooling fan low/high
    int/V Sol-B1
    fuel pump S/V
    air con relay
    EGRC Sol/V
    IACV-FICD S/V
    W/G Sol/V-B1
    P/Reg Cont/V
    PAIRC-Sol/V

hi i have one of these but ive never done one of these updates before. is it as easy as just hooking the usb up to the comp and opening up the downloaded file? do i need to update it with the prev updates or just the most current one?

    thanx

i think you're confusing the software here with the firmware. take a look at the firmware page on the website for the steps.

you dont need to do them in order, jump straight to latest.

This post is about the standalone app, NOT the firmware.

(Not saying he hasn't updated the firmware, but that's not what is being said here).

the proper answer is 'you dont' get these updates for your LCD display, because they are updates to the laptop software, not the LCD firmware.

but if you want to run the software on your laptop, you hook the USB cable up to display/laptop and put the unit on USBIF menu item (consult cable mode), and then run the software on the laptop. this thread is for the ECUTalk software, nothing directly to do with the LCD display. you can of course use the display in consult cable mode and use the software.

if you're still confused, look at the pictures in the first post and compare them with how your display looks :)

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh my bad, so the ecutalk is not updatable ?

your bad again, it is updatable! just this thread has nothing to do with those updates. see the firmware update page as linked to before. you would have got an email when new firmware was available a few months ago (to your shady hotmail account, if its no longer active, pm me new address).
