I have a Japanese Nissan 300ZX auto ECU I'am trying to get some technical info on.Part #23 [large number] ID # 23710 41P12 OTHER # A18-000 M66 [9Y09] It is an after market ECU fitted with a socket and a infer-red ROM chip. The Manufacture label on the case is Garage [that's it], does anyone know of this Japanese tuner. The ROM chip is not a standard turn.[?]:help::help::help::confused:

Just the same as a standard ROM chip only it has a little clear window for the infer-red light to shine in to reset the data in the memory to default so you can reload new data map programs from a programing device. This way the ROM chip can be reused.

Is it just a re-writeable chip. The type you put under ultra violet light to wipe for re-writing . Post a pick . Maybe p.m member Brytech as he is a wiz with electronics and writes his own chips. It maybe able to be simply read to see what tune it has. Would be of interest to a few members i bet.
    Cheers dave
