In an earlier thread, the Nissan Fast gurus provided the relevant ECU and ASCD part numbers for my 11/1993 build, N/A, Auto, convertible. ECU: 23710 - 49P66 (93/09 - 94/05) ASCD: 18930 -50P00 (09/93 - 01/97) (NB: the ASCD unit has a 20 pin connection with a relay built onto the board whereas earlier units were 16 pin with a relay via the engine bay relay/fuse box. THE PROBLEM: a forum member, currently in Japan, has searched far and wide for these parts as numbered but has had no success (any quantity of differently numbered ECU/ASCD units are available). THE SOLUTION: i now need alternative part numbers for both the ECU and ASCD - must be 100% compatible. URGENT HELP needed as the Forum member will be departing Japan very soon. All input appreciated.
Hi Baz, here's the info your after, it seems you don't have the original ECU, FAST lists different ECU's for vert's don't know if this is problem, but preferably get one from a vert. ECU: 23710 - 49P66 (93/09 - 94/05) 23710 - 49P67 (94/05 - 94/10) 23710 - 49P68 Comes up as alternative but no date info. Found in NA 2seater and 2+2 automatics in date range. (Not convertible !) Suitable ECU for 11/93 NA Automatic VG30DE Convertible: 23710-49P76 09/93- 10/94 23710-49P77 23710-49P78 ASCD: 18930 -50P00 (09/93 - 01/97) Found in Vert, 2 seater, 2+2 Automatics, Na's and TT's No alternatives.
many thanks for that info, brisz-o ... will follow up with my contact in Japan on the Convertible ECUs ..... the situation with the ASCD is weird ... 18930-50P00 appears in "FAST" but not on the "Nissan Spare Parts" fiche ... (and yet is the unit currently in the convertible) ... member STEF has a 1992 build convertible ... neither his ECU or ASCD numbers appear on the Fiche ...!!!! .. and on the Fiche, Stef has identified the following for me which could be suitable ... ECU: 23710-50P06 ...... ASCD: 18930-48P10 ... weird, indeed, momma ..... and all beyond me ..... hopefully a combination of your and Stef"s info will provide what i need and is available in Japan ... again, many thanks .....
Those fische numbers dont show up in the JDM FAST at all. I loaded the EU left hand and right hand CD's those numbers show up, but FAST is saying that EU only had 2+2 TT targa tops, don't know if that is true. Still trying to load the US cd's to have a look at them. Edit: loaded what I believed to be US databases but no Z32 info, cant provide anymore info Baz.
