    I'm in Toooo!!!

i wanted to get the next size up, but i think the extra cost plus sourcing the appropriate adaptors will be a pain in the bum. Would love 340's :)

Below is a pic of a conversion from stock 280mm to GTR 324mm size rotors

Shows the rotor size difference well huh.

note: these are NOT the EBC's obviously! just a size reference ;)

    rotors

hmmm.. very interested. do you rekon you could give us a total delivered 2 WA(rotors+adapters), as im sure the rotors will be pretty heavy... any chance 2 get them in a silver?

How wide are they, i think different TT's have 26mm and 30mm rotors.
a group shipping could be good as im sure minivan can help us out again

Hi WazTTed,I am looking into freight but as yet had had no interest from WA

If minivan could act as a central delivery point then that would be good, the other thing I am discussing with the rep is if sales can go through CazRacing but each state collect from their local dealer. Im working on it!
The gold passivation on the rotor surface stops the rotor looking aged, its an alternative to painting I guess. The surface that is in contact with your caliper/pads will be silver.

I can't wait to get these on my Zed

    Wazzted ...

All TT's should have calipers that will take a 30mm thick rotor. Angry Bear is an exception to this rule however. It was the early NA's that had a smaller caliper.

The only way these discs come is gold zinc passivated - but the area that gets brushed by the pads will soon have this coating worn off and normal colour steel will be seen.

If you get the adaptors and do a package with the rotors, I'm in........

    depending on price.

Reason I say that is I do not want rotors sitting in the gararge for 12months and even then maybe never get the adaptors as I wouldn't know what to buy.

Sounds like a good offer though.

Get a price on the rotors

And I will probaby be in.

Im the same as vincent, dont really want to have to mess around to organise the adapters.

    Clearance

hey caz i was just wondering what the clearance was like with these and the adaptors, in regard to the caliper? between my rim and the "nissan" writing on my cilper i have a very small margin of clearance. i have seen on other zeds that the "nissan" writing on the caliper is actually damaged due to not enough clearance. will these adaptors change the clearance or will it remain unchanged?

    Thanks

The adaptor moves the caliper further out from the centre of the rotor, it

doesnt move it forward. You need minimum 17" rims to allow for the extra diameter.
So looking at your wheels would you be able to expand the circumference of your rotor with the caliper on it?? It will not be deeper... I hope that makes sence.

I spoke to rep today and he can arrange for pickup in different states :)

This is good news as freight would be costly. There are dealers in all states and I would ask one central person to collect for their area.
As for Townsville Kac13z32 ?? not sure what we can do there..

Adaptors will be less than $200 for the pair complete with fittings.. If you were to do your sums on that figure it may well be less but certainly wont be more.

The more I have made/purchase the cheaper they become.

    Caz.. :)

    Hi Guys

I sat a standard Z caliper over a 330mm rotor the other day as I was sussing out a brake conversion and by the time you give a millimetre or two clearance from the outer circumference of the disc to the body of the caliper (where rotor passes through the caliper) the pad moves off the edge of the breaking surface of the disc. Has this been looked at??

Also, if anyone needs 17 inch rims to accommodate these brakes I have just listed some for sale.

RedZedMikey RZM should now be DZM

I for one am aware of this ...

but it won't affect my decision to purchase these rotors. I believe this still offers a reasonable brake upgrade for the $ involved.

My understanding is that if GT-R calipers were also sourced, that the slight pad to rotor mismatch wouldn't occur. I don't know if caliper adaptor brackets would then be required, and if so, whether they would need to be a different design to the ones for our calipers.

Caz, I presume you will post here or email/PM when numbers are finalised, the deal is locked in, availability is confirmed, and you need the $$$? Should we be sending a deposit through?

I'm in too for rotors and adaptors.

If they need freighting to Townsville, they can be bundled with Kac13Z32's and one of us as recipient.

Rep assures me there will be 10 sets available for when we need them.

He will get them to their appropriate states for pickup and I will post adaptors to those who require them.
I will confirm the numbers next week and ask for a deposit then.

** I too am aware of the rotor/ caliper thing but like you Mikey see it as a good value brake improvement that is well tried on lots of Zeds world wide!
That rotor pic is Maciek's Zed ;)

The difference in the cost of a 280mm rotor compared to a 324mm rotor isnt that much, so you are getting a considerable brake upgrade basically for adaptor cost.
    Caz.. :)

Thats great 90TT, while EBC are being so obliging I'll hit them up to send

    them for me ;)
I will have much more leverage with 2 sets going up there.

    Im down...

    For both adapters and rotors.

Can we get a price on delivery in WA?

    Caz1 New Member

Hey Claymen, how about 'free'.. The WA orders will be sent to the Perth

EBC dealer and one of you will be able to pick them up as 'CazRacing'.. Im not sure who from WA is definite yet, but if the most central person could help out that saves you all freight.
I will post the adaptors to those buying them, I dont have them here to weigh but max $10.00 post.
    Caz.. :)

    Caliper fitment

Anyone who purchase this kit and finds themselves fortunate enough to lay their hands on a set of GTR33/34 Brembo Calipers at some later date, simply remove brackets and old Zed calipers and fit the GTR calipers, no bracket required ;) You can then sell on your brackets to someone else who wants the same upgrade, job done and you get a few $$ back
BTW this conversion CAZ is doing is VERY popular in the US but using 350Z discs/rotors and is widely used in Holland and the UK now but with GTR discs/rotors, so a worthwhile mod and the difference really does show.
