If you are after throw over covers caz is the one to see,the max ones are ok i guess if you cant afford the real thing, but to be truthful,i think for the price you may be better off seeing a retrimmer and seeing what sort of retrim he can do for you You may actually like the max ones,so it may be an idea to have a look at one of the melb zed crew who has them, kirill (kbro) has them and he has done a great job fitting them, but i myself still hate the fake leather-sorry leatherette,it just doesnt do the zed justice
Seen quite a few Michael and no i havent got them in my zed,and never would I have the real stuff, which is the reason i told him to go have a look before making up his own mind :zlove: the 300usd was a remark on the rip off shipping, the U.S ones look very good and ive heard many good reports on them from my U.S mates,if i was ever to replace my leather ,i would go them before the maxs ones Hasnt anyone noticed that there is a total lack of feedback on the max seatcovers and im guessing that is because alot of people are not happy with them ,once again, just my opinion
The quality and fit is extremely good. The whole lot is leather, not like some with a non leather rear. And yes it smells like leather becasue it is On the issue of Max's covers, I used them on my daily driver and I have to disagree with Simon I think they are all right for everyday use. I have had many positive comments and I think if leather is outside your budget Max's are much better than tweed. The fitment with Max's was fine and from what I have seen the problems with fit have been the expertise of the people doing it. It is a bitch of a job to do properly, each seat took me a day to do. See pic below I bought leather for my 2+0 but I rarely drive it. Tony
I had Max's on my old Zed and in my opinion they fit well and looked good, but the quality just wasn't there. My side bolster was worn in less than a month. I'd be interested in the US ones as they are real leather. But i agree with simon, shipping is a joke.
have sent email to that seller, he said willing to give discount for group buy, but didnt say how much. have sent email to him again already, but havent got reply yet. will send again
i've got the Maxfromaus seat covers and to be honest - i'm probably going to switch. if you aren't too fussy and don't have the coin, definitely a good option, but i'd only go for black or something. i think some of the other colours look cheap and don't do the zed justice. i've had leather seats before in other cars, so going from real leather to fake leather i've definitely noticed the difference. i think they look the goods and are definitely nice and soft etc - but at the end of the day they aren't real leather. fitting etc was no problems - i got a professional trimmer to do mine and they came up really well. so my answer for Maxfromaus covers - if you don't have a big budget, definitely worth a go. they are great bang for buck and do serve their purpose.
Check out this thread! I finally got my hands on my new covers from this GB! Quality is great! Check out blackheartedprofit's pics towards the end of the thread! Tuner D's postage is a killer though! http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/showthread.php?t=269725&highlight=LEATHER
