VIC Eastlink freeway cruise

Anyone home yet? Traffic was backed up pretty badly on the way back as some tool had an accident in the tunnel. Myself and ozbek zx took the freeway back hoping it wouldn't be too bad.

By the time we hit Frankston it was already crawling so took a few back roads through Frankson and got back to SE via Nepean.

The traffic jam aside, was a great day and met some of the new guys and saw the regulars. Cheers bigmax for organising. Didn't get any pics but I'm sure those that did will post them up.

Had a nice lunch in Sorrento with Alex,Kirby,Michael ,me and Kathy which was good
We saw a black zed with a p plate that was pulled over by the cops on Eastlink ,im guessing it was one of our troop ???
I will post a few pix later,i also got some good dvd footage from the new camera mount

 

I saw that too on the way back. It was Theo I think.

THanks to BIGMAX for organising. It was really great to have the zed out and see so many fellow zedders.

Sorry i couldnt make it for the whole cruise but it was great to at least get involved until Mornington.

Was a good cruise even though i had to bail at Mornington, first one ive been on. Had a soccer game in the afternoon and had a cruise back with a p plater in a silver(at least i think it was, im doubting my memory at the moment) zed with his girl.

Good work Bigmax, well organised and run.

 

yeah it was good to go out for a drive and meet some new people, we had fun,, and all went well ..

just like to thank everyone that made this cruise possible. even though i organized it, it would not have gone so well without everyones support.

it ran very smoothly because everyone did the right thing through out the cruise for that i am grateful.
hope everyone had a good time connecting with others on the forum, that right there is what its all about.
learn from others about our passion the 300zx. and have fun with a great bunch of people. cheers bigmax :biggrin: :thumbup:

Was a nice day out meeting regulars and newbies alike! Well done on organising your first cruise.

We all met up at Clifton Hill Maccas, and there was an excellent turn-out. Was 20-25 cars early on.

We then drove along the new Eastlink road down to Mornington for morning tea. Good chats were had, but we seemed to lose a lot of people after this point

From there we went on to Sorrento and had lunch at LaPorchetta and another chat. We then went on to Point Nepean. This was the only time I remembered to bring out the camera, so here are the few pics I took:





















And to the zed owner with the red zed with the wings west rear bar and the stock rear spoiler on steroids and dish rims - your car rocks! (sorry I don't know who you are - post up if it's you!)

jsut wana say thanks 4 a great day. was my first outing in my new zed!
almost didnt make it after breaking down again..

but none the less, we got there and the zed looked awesome in tektrackers vid, the 2 car, or the gunmetal one on the left of bigmax turning left and behind a red zed. 2nd car through the lights even haha..

jsut wondering can u send that video any way? or save it to the comp? and does anybody have pics?..

Thank you to BIGMAX and to everyone else!! Today was my first cruise, great to meet you guys, can finally put a face to the name.
Thanks for all the face to face info, especially from TekTrader and bigmax.

Day went great, i got stuck in traffic on the way back, horrible stuff, worst ive ever been in. took nearly 3 hours to get home.

TTZ-300, you showed up at mornington and left right after... you my friend have what is my vision for my car. STUNNING mate. I think i hollerd it out to you a couple of times too.

Thanx BIGMAX for organizing the cruise i had a great time as it as it was my first 300zx cruise only disappointing part of the day for me was the way home got pulled of by cops on frankston freeway
said car is too powerful n wouldnt even listen 2 me when i told him that i went through this whole process with a highway patrol officer for Nunawading. soo have to go through it all again to show that i can drive there car o well

But overall was a great day thanx BIGMAX cant wait for the next one

Thanks BigMax for organising a top cruise. The weather held of almost long enough, but winter in Melbourne is always a tricky time to plan events. Good to catch up with everyone again, sad to hear that a couple of guys had trouble on the way home.

 

Disappointed that I missed this one, I had planned to take a friends Zed, But rego ran out the other day and he hasnt paid it yet. I didnt want to risk driving unregistered.

I think you guys were refering to my zed. TTZ 300

It has a stillen front bar and the rest of the kit is actually bomex.

Thanks for the kind words. It has been a labour of love and has only seen the light of day with the new VS KF's once. It will get driven alot more now.

I still have a bit of work to do on it. Calipers need painting ASAP!
