LOL, That was an awesome clip! You're very clever Geoff It was so nice to have you guys out there with us Saturday. I want to thank MikeMD too, another example of a forum members generosity in helping the DriftZ. Mike arranged in a very short period of time to have beautiful glossy DriftZ posters designed and printed for us. And then he personally delivered them right to the pit!! Dan signs these for fans, yes the DriftZ has fans(besides me and Black Baz )! lol I proudly displayed the Official aus300zx.com Forum banner on our pit garage door for the weekend, the people on this forum have been an integral part of the DriftZ's journey and every round seems to bring yet another amazing display of generosity from one of you. Very end of the weekend who's still there with Greg the owner of the DriftZ? 4 aus300zx.com members   Caz, Wokburner, Greg(Thunder) Zedmd and MikeMD DriftZ poster taped to the rear of Ferds AutoSalon S15, Dan battled Ferds first up and a re-run was called due to Ferds getting a flat tyre.Just thought I should explain why it had re-run written on it I will post more pics as they come in, thanks again guys :zlove: :zlove: :zlove:
Brilliantly put together Geoff I only have one problem mate, and that is for you to try & fine a better looking page 3 girl towards the end of your clip. The one you cast here in the swim suit, looks as if she has been retrieved from the morgue. Cheers Kerry :zlove:
Yep well done MikeMD The posters looked great and I noticed they were very popular with the fans too. So how dod the Zed go on the Sunday? Cheers Geoff
Geoff you did a great job of the video clip and there are some great pictures. Very entertaining. Poor Wiz  I hope his reprisal is just as good. It was a fantastic weekend and nice to meet everyone again. Thanks for the posters Mike - they were a hit with the fans. The Zedding Community (including this Forum) have given fantastic support to us over the years and it is really appreciated. All the Zedders I have had the opportunity to meet or talk to from all over Australia have been lovely people and very generous with their help, advice and generosity. The amount of people who have offered us their cars to pull apart on race day (if needed) is amazing. Luckily, all Zeds are still intact. We were very unlucky to not progress through to the Top 16 as we have had a lot of comments from other teams and spectators that think we beat Fernando in the first run. In the re-run, after watching it again, I can see that Fernando won, but not by a lot. We have spoken to the Judges and they say that our car looks short on the track and it is hard to judge the angle we are getting, so they want us to put a wing back on to make it look longer. They also suggested running a stripe along the sides. We will have to see what we can do before the next round. We have got the car handling a lot better now and we have got the weight down to 1277kg, which is still heavy, but a lot better than what it was. We are still the heaviest car in the field. We are looking at upping the diff ratio and also making a bit more power to compensate for the extra weight. Some of the cars have over 100rwkw more than us and weigh 200kg less. Fernando drives the Auto Salon car which came 2nd in last years Championship, so to beat him or even force a re-run means that we have come a long way in the field. His car has much more power and is also a lot lighter, so we are happy with our performance against him, but we are hoping to be more competitive next round. We will be running at Oran Park for a local round on Friday 11th July - I think it is a night meet. The next Drift Australia round is at Oran Park on September 20 - 21. It will be good to catch up with more Zedders if you can make it to the track. It is a great weekend, and usually there are lots of other Zedders to talk to. There is also a Show & Shine, so it maybe a good opportunity to make it a Zedder day. Oran Park is closing at the end of the year, so it may be the last time the Drifting is held there. Driftlands (North Circuit and bridge) are being demolished a few days after the V8 Supercar round in December. See you there, and as dan says: "Stay SidewayZ" Cheers Greg
You too can be included in my reprisal clip along with that other womble if your not careful Keza.
pics Dan and Beau Yates ... Ain't she beautiful?? :zlove: :zlove: :zlove: It wasnt actually dark, the drivers were asked to turn on their headlights because the smoke was so thick they were drifting blind, even the judges had difficulty seeing where the cars were
ONI, you crack me up...!!! And I thought all the pics/film you took was only of mountainous clouds of smoke!!! Mate, you have an easy alternative career if you ever decide to pursue it.... you captured the essence of the day completely! Pity you couldn't make it the final competition day in Sunday... Dan really got it going and the DriftZ looked great with some very cool drifts and speed entries (148kph!!) - I would've paid you to do a repeat of Saturday's pics and film of Sunday's activities...!!! (Not much, tho', we don't want it to go to your head!!).
Oh, and Wiz assured us that what he waZ really drinking was muscle-toning fluid he got from the promo girls... I hear he's gunna wear his Speedos to the next event!!
hahahahahaha Yeah right Ron. And I suppose that the report of you drinking the promo girls drinks will see you turn up with a size 39DD chest. You have to admit mate, Geoff got you good. Cheers Kerry :zlove:
Most entertaining Geoff, I feel like I was there at the track. Great to see DRIFT-Z putting on a show, well done Caz and Greg at Sureflo. Think I'll get out there on the 11th.
