not the best weather but still an interesting day!

    Dave's E-vade is just stunning!

Thanks Barry, and his family, for having us!

so, who is our dyno Queen? :D

    Indeed.

    The weather was appalling!

However, I was elated at the turnout! Thank you to all who came and made it a great day.

The NA battle between Tom, Chris and Kyle was Gold! I see a lot of upgrades happening to even the playing field! (Chris...bring the Datto Ute next time!!)

The Evade was something else! The ability to put a dream on paper and then fabricate is a skill in it's own. Next time you do a Hindley Street mainy Dave, I want in! That car has a chick pull factor of 9.6! (I'm sure it's good on the track too :p )

It was great to see some Z31's there too. Paul's was just shy of 100RWKW! Funny how Baz picked it to be no more powerful than a Victor Ride-On! :)

Thanks go to Ashley, Pat, Mike and Paul from Classic Performance Dyno for giving up their Saturday to run the Dyno Day. I think you will all agree there was nothing but professionalism and friendliness. For $50 we all seemed to get bang for buck!

Thanks to Kyle and Jamie for being late ring-ins.

A special thanks to (Adelaide Z Cars) Baz for doing the pre-check on the cars and Jo and Terry for all the food! Jo put on a massive spread for both Lunch and Brekkie, so thank you.

Special thanks also go out to Craig who didn't have a Zed, but donated his time and DSLR to take around 700 photos of the event!! Daylan, Chris and the gent who was with Neema also took a few photos, so thank you! I hope we can find a good place to host them to get the photos on the forum!

Also thanks to Redmon (through NK) for putting on the Skyline with a bunch of Zed's!! :p

Again, thank you to all who came and I hope you all enjoyed yourselves.

I have requested PDF's of all dyno'd cars and their dyno graphs to post up on the forum if everyone is comfortable with that, if not let me know.

Anyone who has pics, post'em ASAP! I'm sure we're all keen to check them out.

Thanks everyone and I'll see you on the 25th!

    Cheers

PS. I'm not sure who the Dyno Queen was and I don't think they would own up to it as Dyno Queen sounds like a name for a Friday night down Hindley Street! I think Neema pulled good figures as did Brett's Beast!

It was a great day, we'll have to have another one in a few months time and see if there's any difference. As for evade, me wanty, and I call shot gun on the track day. I've got 700 pics of the day to sort through so they'll be up in due time, I've also got video of the xr6, zeo zed and the two z31 on the dyno (don't think sound is to good though, it got very loud in there).

ps when I last look at the dyno sheets brett's was up the top

oh yeah my mate also got vid of evade on the dyno as well, I also got some of the little sprints down the street.

216.2kw was my result, i think Neema's was 206, the E-vade around there somewhere aswell.

A few problems though, probable boost leak(s) and runs to lean at low rpm and very rich at high rpm's. Apart from that happy with the result. Will be happier after all the faults are sorted.

I think Tom was the happiest of us all, he got 5kw more than Chris:p

    PS:worthless:

Yes a good day and thanx go to Barry for his mechanical work, Jo for the food, Ashley and his crew for the dyno work and finally a big thanx to Mr Jazz for setting it all up.:zlove: EVADE; what can you say about a guy that scratch builds his own car, Awsome!! The only problem I have now is trying to find out why my car is rev limited to 5200rpm and why my boost switch stays on standard boost!! Zeds don't you love em

Out of curiosity, why were some done in 2nd gear? I thought 4th (1 to 1) was standard.

Also, I kind of expected a higher number for the RX8. Never driven one though, just imagining as a successor to the RX7 they would want to give it plenty of go.

So did I. Was thinking that the RX8 would rival the TT's

I think he did the Manual's in 4th and the Auto's in 2nd.

It was interesting choosing 4th. All other dyno runs I have done have been in third. I'm conviced it doesn't really matter, other than a little bit more of the horses will lost in the rotating assembly. th best part is the boost and AFR graphs tell a lot when compared to the power curves.
Fantastic day, will do it again in a flash.

When the first pull was done, Ashley had the blue zed in 2nd gear, then dropped it into Drive. After that, i wasnt paying attention anymore for the second pull. Was watching the tacho go past 7 grand...so was Ashley i think. He sort of stopped with a slight hesitation when it went past 7. :p

Fantastic day overall, albeit the weather was temperamental. Thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was great, the service was excellent, and to all that hosted the shindig. Kudos to you all. Couldnt have panned out much better. Good, quiet street to have held it too. With us bunch of noisy Zeds and the Evade....lapping it :br: Till next time! :D

I just want to say also, cough cough, Tom...;) That 4.5kw extra you have, savor it. Must be from that new, expensive, fancy exhaust you have... Ill clean the crud out of the blocked exhaust for you and we'll go again :p Im sure there was some degree of disadvantage the blue zed experienced. See how the old girl goes again :zlove: :p

Ive got the pics on the pc, so ill upload them soon to Photobucket or something similar. Maybe a compressed file so you all can D/L it. Not as many as i would have liked, but still a few good shots of various zeds.

Thanks again Adz for organising it all. And ill try have the dato ready for some form of number counting next time.

Brett must be grinning like a cheshire cat, what with (what appears to be) only a small amount of mods! To have pipped the 'mythical evade' must be to take bragging rights?
I am sorry I missed being a fly on the wall and do hope to attend any future planned dyno days with my (hopefully) soon to be on the road TT.
