I'll go first then.. What a great day even with a pretty poor turnout by the zeds, 6 or 7 only. The guys at Hi Power put on a really good event, the food was pretty good and the day was well organised. Sorry I have no pics to show but I'm sure there will be a few to come.
That's fairly laggy, Drokk..... No offence, but I would be fairly dissapointed with that result given your list of mods
Yes disappointing on the "Zed turnout front". The day was well organsied and we were rescued by the non zedders and walk-ins. Maybe next time we do a pay upfront arrangement, then if you are a no-show the organising business won't risk being out of pocket. I know I sound harsh, but tough titties. I ended up with the highest HP for the day by 1 HP. I have been retarding timing and adding fuel during road tuning over the past several months. To my amazement, the AFRs are now dead on 12:1 just where I wanted them, and now just small timing tweaks are required which will be done on a dyno via nistune. To be extra safe, I took out 3 degrees more timing from the top of the map and dropped the rev-limiter before the dyno this morning. Almost cost me top spot. Anyhoo still at 316 rwkw or so with all the adjustments I made, so I'm damn happy.
I'm pretty happy with my results 233.78 kw and 461 Nm @ 12-13 psi and 180.09 kw and 318.6 Nm @ 7 - 8 psi. heres my charts and sum pics...
Thanks to all those who turned up, was great to see you all again. I have to say I am VERY disappointed in the number of people who didn't show up. I think from now on I'll be taking deposits before your spot is registered because although we had 27 or so registered only a handful had the decency to say they weren't going to make it and we only ended up with 6 or 7 zeds. VERY DISAPPOINTING! :lame: Grats to the following people for winning trophies: Pex - Most powerful forced induction Nathan - Cleanest Zed Sticky - Most Hektik Zed Elliot - Most powerful NA Mike Lindon (no idea what your forum name is) - Zed encouragement award Unfortunately my zed has lost a couple of cylinders and will need some work before she can hit the dyno again. But on the plus side I found out that my little excel was not the slowest car at the dyno
Many thanks for organizing the day and to HiPower for hosting. Came away encouraged before the trophy as my aim for the day was to see if the Z was running remotely properly and whether my AFR's were safe. Gents at HPR thought the Z was putting out good curves and the AFR's are steady and definitely on the rich side. I gather 239HP @ 10psi is good? Anyways I'm 'encouraged' enough to start looking at ECU upgrade and upping boost. Whatever I do I'll be aiming for a broad power/torque curve rather than peak. Mike
Awesome day, thanks Matt. I got a trophy! I ran 306.1hp, but I won a trophy! Videos Hi Power Racing's Drift S15. Pulled about 516hp http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=41YB1O2DPjw PEXZED http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eb0bH2uEolk 571CKY http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2SkdZkw10uo&feature=channel Dark3n666 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sTpz-PDT-xE&feature=channel
What did the 370Z put out? Sorry to hear about the poor attendance Mike is about the only one with a good excuse
Wow! Congrats Greggy and Drokk. Some very impressive figures there. :zlove: Looks like a great day was had, but dissapointed to hear there were so many drop-outs.
ive seen a bog stock 370z run 200rwkw. so this with an exhaust plus pod made roughly about 16rwkw. not a bad increase. do you know if it was tuned with the upgrades ?
nice more improvement to be made should be around 20rwkw or maybe a bit more all up with the upgrades and tune. nice increase
