QLD Drive in movie night

Hey that was pretty cool. Haven't done that in 5 years.
As promised I delivered from K-Zed a cuddle for Halyz and a kiss for Benny_C (or was that the other way around).:zlove:
Think we had a bout 12 cars all up, and isn't the drive-in a lot more popular that I'd imagined, it was a full house !!

Was it really cold tho?... yes it is very popular again....

Sorry we didnt make it, Lil turt is still quite sick, she was battling with 39.9 temps til about 8 this morning... she was still 38.4 before going to bed tonite.... just temps and a lil bit of a cough... see how we go tomoro..

So what were the movies like? did you guys enjoy them? (or were you too busy throwing jaffas at the guys in the ute and deckchairs? LMAO)

 

Was that Halyz, that said hi as I drove past in the servo carpark?

Fate and I had a mini cruise up hes a bit of a slow driver tho.

 

It was freezing, I was lookin for ya. I don't know what the movie was like I fell asleep.

We all got out of the cars at intermission. I didn't feel cold at all

 

another cruise missed Turns out that a guy who I am working with has a brother who owns a workshop in the same block as the drive-in.... if that makes sense. Suggesting a combination carbon cleaning/ dyno day (equipped to do both) with drive-in in the future?

 

Great night was had Greg! Movies were great, company was great, night was cold but luckily most of us brought pillows and blankets which was needed even in the Zeds!

Some typical movie night antics happened still due to the throwing of lollies, etc into other car windows and the occasional horn honking

Maybe the joke of throwing lollies between my car and Cams got a little overboard when we resorted to throwing large empty drink cups at each others heads but it was a really fun night and would love to do it again if i jacked my Zed up so i can actually park it properly up the ramps.

 

Thanks for the cuddle Pex, although a couple more were needed, it certainly was cold!! although apparently not cold enough, we still had the windows down so that Benny could throw Chico babies at Cam and Ash. (R33k and Fate were no fun to throw stuff at)

they were good movies too, i think. i managed to stay awake through most of it! but a reclined Zed seat and doonas and pillows makes for good napping conditions.

I wanted to come so badly. Unfortunatly working on my housemate's silvia went a bit overtime and by the time I realised what time it was it was too late.

I'm definatly there for the next one!

Yeah it was a good night. Bloody freezing though! We really wished that terminator was actually viewable, it was so dark i think we got more of the movie in sound! Angels and demons however was enjoyable.. Great to see so many zeds turn up, i think we all had a good laugh at benny's 57 point parking maneuver.

Personally i'd like to do this bi-annually, at least get it for summer haha, we'd have to go early though, if it was this packed for winter can u imagine a nice summers night? i think we'd have to be at the gate by 6 at the latest, find some nice parks a little closer and a little less steep haha.

so shall we do it again in 6 months time??

 

I would probably be even earlier... the gates may open at 6 but the queue is very long by then - maybe even try 5.30 - in summer it may be a lil later considering it gets darker later...

 

yep, but by the time summer arrives, we will all have karked it .....

I had a great time it was the first time for me going to the drive ins thanks for waiting for me cause i was late hehe. The movies werent to bad at all... definately worth the money and i had a great time it was awesome to see some of the gang again since warwick.
