I am losing a little brake fluid. I took it to a brake joint to get a free inspection done and they told me the booster was leaking. I was under the impression that the fluid was in the master cylinder but not the booster.

Does the Zx have fluid in the booster?

    Cheers.

Brake boosters operate on engine vacuum. The leak is probably at the back of the master cylinder dripping down where it attaches to the brake booster.

the booster is air only. If you have a leak there you will have an airleak.

look under the cylinder. and on the booster. if its wet and the paint is all crap replace the Master Cylinder.

They are definately a wearable item. I've been through 2, before I rebuilt it and got it bored and sleaved. The aluminium bore can pit over time, which causes the leaks.
