Well another old timer or two has their beloved zed for sale and hence they are in essence heading for the exit door.

So just how many 2000-2001 members are left now?

For you younger members now is the time to pickup some reasonably cheap beloved zed.
Pity I did not have more garage space.

Yeah, it is a bit of a shame. But people who own the same car for 10years+ are a minority...

Love to know what Ozz is asking for his yellow beastie!

I dont understand why they are being sold. Sure we all have different reasons but its almost not worth selling when we compare price paid + spent with current value.

for sale one beloved vh45 powered zed

For sale one beloved vh45 powered zed,
    Price...less.
I know that I could not get much more than most quality zed are getting on the free market, hence she sits under covers in her spot in the garage... Except for this week's check up by the doctor, a service and gearbox refresh.

Don't know how much John has spent over the years, but guess it would be in the high 'ties'.
Maybe even over the magic tonne.

    Yeah, sad

To see it happen, Dream Zed and now OZZ the latest in offering theirs up for sale, down here.
As i said in Blue z's for sale thread, there wont be many of us left soon,
But as Mike says, you are never going to get back what you have spent on them so might as well hang onto them for a museum piece later on.

Completely agree Ron, It's almost heartbreaking to see some of the older forum members (and of course by that i mean longer term members, not age) who have been around for such a long term, and have had so much input and attendance to events/social gatherings to loose their "trade mark" vehicle. Very sad indeed.

I certainly don't consider myself one of the original crew as i've only been a member since 2004 but 7 years is also a long time to get to know everyone and meet them in person also. So when they sell their associated Zed, it's like a piece of the puzzle is now missing.

...and while now i confidently say as i always have said that i will be buried in my blue beast, who knows what life might throw me down the track that actually warrants me to sell it. :(
    (just hope that never happens)

I am currently saving for enough clear resin to encase the Zed with me in it (like those old redback spider gear knobs, only bigger).

Or maybe the kids could do this:

Id sell mine if i wasnt pot commited to it(poker term) and its good for business,
Working on 300zx alot it pays to have a nice one for customers to see , also i can try out new parts on it and as i have done push the limits of stock gear .

But if i was no longer working on these cars id probably sell it for a change , maybe buy an E36 M3

    Me too!
Whether or not I am still around here, I will NEVER sell my Z32 and I have also sworn to be buried in it(no, I do not take requests).:p:rofl::br:

That brings up something. Are you actually allowed to be buried in a car? I can't see a cemetery being too excited about burying a car, that'd take up about 10 plots.

And if I have a interesting car when I die, I'd rather leave it to someone.

    mr zed x chassis scrubbin..

noticed of late it is the same 50 or so members posting, and the general age of zed owners seems to be alot younger! guess it's like life, older members leave, young members come and the circle continues lol

I know it has come to down to practicality for BlueZ

He has his 370Z now so the 300zx never gets driven (except by mum).

And its quite difficult going out to dinner as a family or going on a holiday somewhere when me, dad, mum and my brother only own 2 seater cars with hardly any boot space.

It was simply a fact of it never gets driven and mum wants a bigger car and dad still has his 370Z to keep his passion going. He will still be there on cruises and at events just not in the 300zx.
