diff

    I have a 1991 300zx, just wondering how i check the diff fluid levels???? :confused:

    You don't check the level in the diff....

    you just keep filling it till it starts to overflow.

    From the right side top filler plug. Similar to gearbox filler plug.

    quick Q, why would my diff randomly click and cary on at low speeds here and there once I just chaged the oil to redline stuff I bought from coz ?

    If the car was facing fowards a bit and I over filled it could that be the cause ?

    Do you have an aftermarket diff ?

    Find out what type of oil you used.
    Redline have an NS grade of oil that has no friction modifier in it (makes the diff lock up better), so a mechanical diff will clunk and chatter especially when turning at low speed.

    Having an extra 20ml of oil in the diff won't matter.
