diff oil

    im doing a change of all the fluids in my z as i just perchased it and im sure they havent been changed in a while

    atm
    im planning to use redline heavey duty gear oil in the gearbox

    but im unsure what sort of oil i should put into the diff:confused:
    what are people using atm and what experiences have you had with it?
    is anyone using redline gearoil in there diff?

    This was my experience, I recomend Redline.

    Redline 75w90 high performance gear oil in the diff. Its GL5-6 compliant. Mt90 is for trans axel and manual gearbox (Redline shockproof if syncros are worn).

    I have 1L of MT90 left over unopened ($20) if your local. From memory it takes about 2.8L, you need a small bottle about .9L (it measure in imerial gallons) and a large bottle about 2L(measured in imperial gallons).

    I think the service manual states 2.1L, I found that 2 of the 1L bottles did the job as when you drain the diff it will always leave a small amount inside.

    im doing both zeds tonight,is maximum capacity where it starts to come out of the refill hole,or is it better to measure the amount ??

    then pump it in is best.

    that always works for me in the bedroom,ill try that with the car as well
