VIC Destroying The Zed 29th August

well.... its time to cut it up... my wreak has been sitting in the yard for over 3 months and now its gonna be cut down to a squillian pieces, wanna join the fun?

Everyone is welcome to come along and have a go or just come to socialize....

every part that has some value will be taken off and the rest of the car will be cut down for scrap metal.

PIZZA WILL BE PROVIDED AT NO COST!!! so if you dont want to get your hands dirty but just want to come along and talk your more then welcome!!

i'll be finishing work at 11 so can be there at 12. need to pull off jake's parts before it gets chopped though.

 

make sure you remove and drain the fuel tank before you let everyone cut loose on it.

I dont want to be visiting everyone in the burns unit.

Why waste your time cutting it up ? Just call a recycler from the local paper they will take it away for free. Thats what I did

Cos its alot of work and you still have to get rid of all the pieces. *shrug* if fun for you is wasting time and money on cut off blades, go for it

 

stu i doubt any of that will be done anyway. it'll be more a case of everyone shows up, chat and do no work, leave by dusk.

i'll show up a bit earlier and start stripping the car. once all the parts and valuables are out of it, maybe they can start to consider playing with big tools but i doubt there will be any time left for it. for the love of god billy have some decent jacks and jack stands ready so we can drop the diff/subframe. if you want to get the engine and tranny out, get a crane.

I should be up for this fellas. Just need to check my schedule during the week and I shall let you know. Work done to the zed since last tech day? DIDDLY SQUAT! Haha so no picking on me. I shall bring my camera and take a few extra pictarz of the action this time...gives me an excuse for not doing much actual work haha

 

drained the petrol in it today... and pulled all the wiring loom out of the car... not fun!!!

anyway... got a big jack.. gonna get some jack stands.. and going to pull the engine out.. cant wait!!!

ive got an angle grinder already... what else will i need?

 

Nais! If possible, can you rip off every other fuel line that you can find etc and leave it all to air out? Are we cutting the nose off and taking the engine out the front? If yes, what is the engine going on? Crane or do you have something suitable to lower it on to? See if Chris will bring is crane (unless Ryan still has it1 :bow2: )

 

lol i returned it...heavy!!!! and one person lifting it up whilst its completely assembled isnt easy...but yes chris has his crane back...thanks chris!`
