I have taken the giant spoiler off my car, I'm left with 4 bolt holes in the rear. What should I fill them with before I get the car painted??

duct tape tends to do the trick,

or if your the fancy type,

you might want to just get them welded up, its not a big job for a shop to do, so won't blow the budget if you need to pay someone to do it.

a few ways to do it.. weld it like people mentioned.. other option is a product called metal mend.

its has fibreglass strands in the product.
-knock the holes in so they are recessed
    -remove paint around holes
    -tape back of holes up
    -clean surface with prepsol/similar
-apply metal mend (follow instructions, similar to bog)
-allow to cure until almost very hard.
-sand before the metal mend hardens all the way.
    -remove tape
-clean all sanding dust off using prepsol/similar
-apply bog on top of metal mend
    -sand bog when 100% dry
-check bog to see finish, if not happy, bog and sand again
-clean all sanding dust off using prepsol/similar
    -primer
    -sand primer
    -paint

    cost
    metal mend - $20 a can
    bog - $20 a can
    prepsol/wax and grease remover - $10 a can
    primer - $15 a can
paint - depends if a shop is doing it, or your doing it yourself.

welding is good.. problem is some people cant weld for crap and with excessive heat will buckle the panel. personally i would get it welded.

ive done the above method many many times on plenty of cars and i have not had a problem. my friend tried this and had a problem because he didnt clean the surface with prepsol and it started flaking off as it wasnt sticking very well..

as always i take no responsibility for you screwing up. my advice is a guideline which works for me and may not for you.
