so i was driving home from dubbo and all the lights on my dashboard suddenly switched on .. after pullin over and checkin the eterior lights were all workin i proceeded on my trip as i couldnt do anything on the side of the road ..the lights on the dash went off after 10kms and returned to normal about 100kms down the road i noticed power drain with the lights not workin as brightly as they should and the engine stallin out at high reves ..i think ive broken the alternater or wiring harness connected to it ive already checked the battery and theres no problem with that apart from it being flat as and needin a recharge going to have an autoelectrician have a look at it as the wiring diagram i have dosnt match what is actualy in the car .. anyone have a full wiring diagram for an 1987 z31
check your current draw from the battery with everything off and all doors closed. certainly sounds like a bad alternator to me tho
