Some stupid FFFFF bitch backed into me the other day and dented my front bar and a bit of my left front guard... the guard is obviously metal and needs a professional touch, the bar is made of a softer fabric.. does this bend back to the original shape or do i ship it out and get another? dont like seeing my baby in this slightly injured state so i need to get is sorted soon. if the bar is not an easy fix i would rather get an aftermarket one and proceed with the repairs... dont want the repairers doing anything other than fixing the metal bend on the guard and trying to find a standard bar at some exhaubitant cost. any advice would be appreciated

I would just get another front bar... Pretty much once the stock bar takes a hit its not so good even after it has some little repairs done to it...

I would go an aftermarket bar then going back to a stock one.. Pick one that you like so many front bars to choose from theses days and depends how much your willing to spend on one as well...

    pics to be sure

but urethane will pop more or less back in to sahpe depending on how bad it was creased in the first place, but the paint on the urethane may well crack chip or fall of if you attempt it....in my opinion the front bars look good, but most aftermarket bars are a improvement so treat this as a sign and get yourself a shiny new front bar..lol:D

    new guards are cheap

Usually find them for under 100, sometimes can even choose your colour.
I'm sure a panel beaters costs will go way over that (depending on damage of course).
The guards are really easy to remove/refit when the bar is off too.

The killer will be the fixing of the bar if its not so good which in most cases they wont and then painting it and trying to blend it to the rest of the car... Same with the guard it will most likey have to be painted and blended to match the rest of the car... Also the colour depends on the price as well, if its a pearl well 3 layer system and trying to match it is harder... Have you been out to get quotes from a couple of panel shops? This always help so you got some idea how much it will cost to have it all fixed.. Also say you haven't got a quote from anyone else if they ask and also ask them how much would it cost if i bring say another guard and front bar in to be painted...

It's always best to go an after market bar due to someone hitting the stock front bar or if you can find another stock bar that does not cost much even better :)
