    Hi guys,
Need a bit of help with this one. After changing all my fuel hoses and clamps
over 12 months ago , including the 2 under the battery tray, and going back and retightening them on several occasions, I'm still getting fuel fumes.
It's definately coming from the battery tray area, and only in warmer weather, with the smell rising up from the heat of the turbo/ exhaust after
shutdown on the passenger side only.
Hot or cold I can't find any liquid traces of fuel, so should I be thinking
about injector seals about now.... or have I missed something?

    A common problem

What brand of EFI hose and clamps did you use?

Gates hose requires constant attention/retensioning of clamps. If worm-drive clamps were used (a BIG no-no) this exacerbates the problem. :(

OEM Nissan or Bursons EFI hose used with OEM clamps or new mini-aba ones is the way to go. :)

Not sure what brand the clamps were K-zed , so I might start with your
idea there and change them to oem ones. The hose was Dayco efi brand.
    Good quality hose i thought.
    Thanks for the tip:)

    Petrol smell at startup ...?

Most likely at or before fuel filter AND fuel rail connector; the hose under TB linkage.

    Nope, nothing on startup

I've pretty much ruled out anything on top of the motor, including the
hose joining the fuel rails under the TB's.

Fuel pressure reg and damper look good too.

Just the passenger side and only after the temps have come up. They weren't
worm clamps I used by the way, they were similiar to the OEM ones but with
a Hex head so you can get a socket on them.

I'll basically redo the lines a couple at a time I think and see If that pins it down.

When the engine is cold, start the car up and sniff around the engine bay. The mixture will already be rich due to the cold start, any leaks should make themselves evident in this situation if not you're going to have to start taking shit off so you can gain access to the rails themselves and inspect.

I trust you have a fire extinguisher in the car already too.
