The passenger turbo when building boost or on boost makes the same sort of sound you get when you don't blow very hard into a whistle and you sort of get the whistle sound but can hear the ball rolling around.

I also found out my stock recirc valves aren't connected + no bov's hence why my compressor surge is so loud.
I guess that didn't help much.

It doesn't smoke. Well yet I guess. But its bound to die soon.

Good old zed will be off the road till I can buy some new turbos. Not going to bother with stock ones or getting them rebult. Get some cash up and get some thing else.

It's my daily driver too. So going to have to buy a bunkie.

Any one in WA know of some good bunkies? for sale that wont brake down every 2 mins.

    CurnZ zero rwkw

    whistle sound on boost

Sounds like a alignment problem which can occur after a while.

    ZXxx Getting Stiggy wid it!

*hands scotty a tissue* Everything is gonna be alright

Sad news dude. I think the last thing people wanna see (apart from the wa coppers) is blackice removed from the streets.

Any ideas on what turbo's you wanna upgrade too....any chances on getting a small loan or anything?

You should have seen this coming

Not to sound mean (you poor bugger), but you commented on it at the drags a couple of months ago (black smoke from one exhaust).

Look in the quokka, weekend paper, talk to friends etc.. to find a bunky.

    Cheers

Hey Dude mine made that noise after I refitted the engine

still made 12 psi and I half suspected it was a hose blown off and yes it was...just a small hose!

Yeah I though the same but,

Still makes what ever boost I set on the boost controller with in the normal time feels like all the power is there no loss noticed.

Just some times will make that noise. other times it wont.

I blew up the intake but its holding pressure, no leaks.

So all I can assume is its the turbo as its a rotational sound.

    Black smoke is fuel

Scotties zed did overfuel badly; but occassionally you could see the white smoke wafting out the back!

    Do you have cats?

You sure one hasn't started to fall apart and its rattling around/restricting flow making that noise?

I had that issue a while back!

Your turbos are extremely intolerant of any vibration, bearing

abnormalities or foreign object damage on the turbine and with them spinning around 100,000 rpm they dont take much to blow apart. So I still think you noise is something else.

Well I hope it is for your sake anyhow!

    regards John

    Really?

So there was white smoking while I was gunning down the strip?

White means headgasket... most likely was blue just hard to see?.

Since its tuned it doesnt spew fuel out the back, think it was spewing before because of the DET sensor error code.
