    hi fellas

has anyone here removed any hardware of the cruise control such as the cable and the device on the left. intrested cause i have aftermarket steering wheel with no cruz button so i dont use it at all. It will also make the engine bay a LITTLE less clutered:thumbsup::thumbsup:.

if anyone has removed it, what was the process and what was removed

    Cheers

    Nuh. I like Cruise.

My jap Zed originally had cruise and an after-market steering wheel had been installed without cruise buttons and therefore effectively removed this. I re-installed functionality via a OEM steering wheel with buttons.

So, I can't help you (and don't want to), but best of luck anyway.

    Cheers,

    Peter.

2 Zeds, both manuals, and both with cruise, and lovin' it.

you can remove the cruise actuator (the part with the cable next to the thr

ottle cable), the cruise control ecu (small box next to main ecu) that is all i can think of atm am sure there is more though

You can still use cruise control with an aftermarket steering wheel

The cruise control functions can be provided with 2 simple push buttons mounted on the dash or near where the indicators are. One for Resume/accelerate, one for Set/Decelerate and if you press both together it cancels the cruise. Just use the wiring diagrams to figure out which ones you need.
