    Hey guys,
The other day I was on the freeway and in between songs on my radio I noticed a 'dong' coming from the dash (same noise heard when you leave your lights on and open the door), anyway I did a bit of research and I came up with the answer as to why this occurred, which was that JDM 300's are limited to a cruise control max of 105km/h.

I'm not sure about what is present in my car at the moment but would this 'dong' mean that my 300 has at some point in time had cruise control installed?

no, its an overspeed chime. J-spec cruise is limited to 110km/hr, but a faint chime will sound when speeds exceed 105

Strange, my car will only cruise at about 107? It's a J-spec

I would pull it out of the dash, take it to the nearest currency exchanger and spend it wisely. :p [IMG]

Oh.....sorry, you mean the speed chime at 105 kms. ooops

I thought they all had a speed chime at 105km. Maybe it was just automatics?

All jdm cars had a 105km speed warning chime. Chances are if you're not the first owner though one of the previous owners was almost guaranteed to have been annoyed by it and unplugged it first.

As above the cruise control is not responsible for the chime.

The (89-92) cruise control is limited to between 48 km/h and 105 km/h. It can be modified with a soldering iron to operate between 48 km/h and 148 km/h by moving a couple or resistors.

    ASCD Modification (89-92)

    ASCD Modification (92+)
