Did anyone know that Carlos is no longer at Cresta? Went down there on Tuesday to get some parts for the Z & asked for him, only to be told that he left about 3 weeks ago. Doh! He was always so helpful & seemed to have the whole damn place catalogued in his head! Only had to ask & he could usually tell you on the spot if they had a part or not. Not to mention that he seemed to always be able to deciper my 'not so technical' terminology of parts I was looking for...hehe... and would occasionally chuck in the odd part for free. Bit of a shame... just thought I'd give everyone a heads up & see if anyone knew. :unsure:

Getting there... I had to pull the plenum after a coolant hose let go. It's been 4 weeks since I last drove her. If all goes well this weekend I'll have her on the road by Sunday!! Watch this space for the whole story soon.
Serious? That sux; he was a really good helpful guy. He saved me so much money! Is his replacement just as helpful; hope so!
Yeah, Carlos was very helpful... & also pretty fair with prices... The replacement (well I assume replacement) was nice enough... Although he didn't know what I was talking about when I was asking about washer check valves. From what I can tell from the little I've spoken to him so far, it seems that he doesn't quite have the knowledge base on Z's that Carlos did. Guess time will tell.
Oh man, that sucks! 4 weeks not being able to drive her?! You must be experiencing MASSIVE withdrawals from not driving your Z in so long! Good luck in getting her back together... keep us posted on your progress & hope you have her back on the road asap!
