Hey guys, I ordered some small parts from Coz, cam seals, O2 sensors and pcv valves on the 22/9/12 and went for the 3 day delivery. Its now the 4/10 and still no sign of my stuff. Anyone else had this problem. Starting to think Ive been ripped off or something. Dont like that this guy is not easily contactable and didnt reply to my e mail thru his site. My zed is at the workshop but got no parts to finish the job. Not good.
There was a post before about some unhappy customers of his but it appeared that they were a minority with some various problems mostly due to some new staff and 98% regarded him as reliable. Some times it can take a while for the distributors to send him the product and if an item is missing it means he has to wait for it to arrive or it ends up being two sets of freight at his cost. I consider him knowledgeable, very helpful and reliable but sometimes a bit slow due to distributors. Its unusual for him not to reply after a couple of attempts though. I still have a set of trims to come from him but am confident that he will send them when they come as I have gotten k's worth of stuff off him so far. Check the email address - should be coz@myczp.com - give him the order number to make it easy and then ask whats happening as it hasn't arrived and see what happens. You should be ok. Cheers
This is my first time ordering over the internet so dont really have any idea on the procedures involved. So how long does his 3 day delivery usually take ?
Thanks for that superz. The order was apparently shipped on the 25th and am a bit peeved that his site doesnt explain the extra delivery times for overseas buyers. We,re not all so experienced in these things. It is a good site tho you have to admit but as usual time is of the essence. Whats the usual waiting time after its shipped do you know ?.....
my experience, with any number of orders over some 7 years, has never been more than 5 days to my door ... never had a problem with Coz .. and his normal response to emails is usually less than 24 hours !!!
Ive had one of my zeds for 7 years and the other for 5 but strangely enough this is the first time Ive had to order parts myself. Makes me wonder why my order is taking so long. Did you go with the 3 day delivery ? The tracking No is useless as it seems to stop at the usps sorting ctr on the 26th.
Just to clarify, so you picked the 3 day shipping option on the website when checking out? If so then those shipping times only apply to USA based orders.
Yes was definately the $20 3 day option. It seems that 5 days is the norm for delivery tho. Getting a little worried that its lost in the system.
This ^^ Whenever I order off him I get a quote for everything I want via email and then organise payment. I've always had very quick delivery (comparatively) from Coz. He gives me tracking numbers too, it normally gets to Australia very quick and then Aus Post drops the ball Takes longer from Sydney to Brisbane than it does from Coz to LA to Aus
Thanks Chrispy. Everyone seems to get quick delivery which is why Im a bit concerned about mine. The fact the tracking stopped in the us on the 26th is a bit of a concern also. Are your orders traceable all the way to bris. ?
The USPS and UPS are both shocking with transit data. Generally it tells you where it is in the states (last port before going international). It is then up to Australia Post to organise the rest. They are never on time and never update it usually until it reaches the sorting facility (brissy) or on truck to your door. Have you tried putting in your tracking code into auspost? sometimes works.
Orders I've made with him have previously turned up between 5-10 working days after I place the order. You've got to be joking yourself if you expect parts to come all the way around the world in 3 days though unless you pay a small fortune for shipping. Usually takes longer than that just to get to wherever it needs to go in Australia. I've found the tracking services in the us are really good, but definitely lacking in australia. I wouldn't be too worried your stuff will turn up soon, the wait is the unfortunate disadvantage in ordering parts from the us.
When you pay $20 to get a small parcel delivered I would expect it to turn up pretty damn quickly actually.
Was that the generated costing? Or what they quoted you once emailed them. $20 seems cheap. For a big parcel from coz, I paid $160 and still took 8 working days. Tracking always stopped at the US until it hit my local sorting facility
Mate I wouldn't be too worried - sometimes coz has to source the parts first before he mails them he doesn't always keep everything in stock as I found out with my recent crate shipment . It's coming from the states so unfortunately there can be a bit of time taken - if wait till mid next week - Anytime I watch it it gets to Aus quick then Australian postal service seems to slow it down
