Cops getting lazy?

First things first, I'm a P plater. So we automatically receive the ridicule of the public on the road ,not all unwanted but most unwanted attention being from police. However, having driven my car (with quite a loud exhaust) around for a while now in a district known very much for cops wacking a nice yellow sticker on any car they can, I am quite surprised at the little amount of attention I have received in comparison to stories about others in my area.
A friend of mine with a 300zx, also on his P's in my area have numerous times driven straight past empty RBT bays with me right behind him, only to have us drive straight through and have the next few cars behind us waved in.
Tonight as well, which sparked me to write this time filler, I was followed by a marked car after I'm pretty sure he saw me speeding/ taking a corner quite irrationally, only to follow me for a few km then peel off. No RBT, no car check, nothing.
Is this cops getting lazy? Or maybe some respect for the 300zx
Anyone else out there, mainly P platers, had situations of getting harassed or simply not at all? There seems to be quite a variance in the amount of attention people receive, commonly either a lot or none.

on the opposite side to that, last night i had the "riot and public order squad" stop next to where me and my mates were, then started taking photos of us and recording us...

im waiting for today tonight to use the footage in a segment regarding "hoons" and "drug use in the car scene" because they will somehow twist drinking coffee and talking to your mates around your cars to that

 

Iv been pulled over 2 times both being on my leathers in the z an they were pretty keen to check the car out but since having my ps they haven't pulled me over once and same thing with an rbi my friend drive through in his skyline than me in the z and then a wrk and then the cops let us all through but pulling over older drivers?? I find it weird also

I havnt really felt like i'v been targetted by the police :/
been pulled over once while driving my Z, almost off my P plates aswell (had my lisence ~2years).. Maybe been pulled 3 times in total? The other 2 times in my mates toyota corona (LOL) that he got done for wreckless in, and all the local police knew that.

I previously lived in a small country town and police only really bothered you if your car was unbelievably un-roadworthy or you were being a complete idiot. Moved to Perth in January though and have still had no trouble. I cant see them being lazy at all? Just because they dont pull over every P plater that drives past in a sports car. But i guess, you do drive an NA... just kidding.

 

Im a P'plater too and for some reason get a bit too much cop attention. I dont do burnouts or drifting or no "fully sick" stuff lol i take care of my zed as my baby and i obey the laws...i probably get pulled over like once or twice a week atleast...maybe because of the area i live in (thomastown) and there are always drags happening so maybe that is the reason...the cops always say "random breath testing" as the reason for pulling me over.
The way i look at it...if you do the right thing and have a good attitude towards the cops they mostly are good even though ive lost 3 points for not having a white background on my custom splat P plates which i have changed ever since then.
Simple free advice...dont do nothing like a typical P plater would do and you shouldnt have a problem 

 

Can't say I have had much of a problem being targeted as a P - Plater however I have been pulled over a few times driving home from work late at night especially on weekends but I think thats pretty understandable. In general however I have never had a problem with police, I don't drive like a moron though and keep my car clean and looking good.

 

the only query i get from police is about why my car is so dirty... often ask if i was drifting..

i just dont wash her that often , cut and polish soon (in BEFORE clean your car homo)

 

I actually feel a little dumber after reading such a pointless thread...its 2 minutes of my life that I want back
