Today all of a sudden i started hearing a drony/buzzy noise coming from under the hood. At the same time, my temperature creeped up to just above the halfway line; usually it doesn't move from just below the halfway line. I'm thinking the noise i was hearing was the fan spinning faster due to the temperature increase... does it do that? Either way, i topped the radiator up with ALOT of water (it must have been pretty empty) and the noise was gone and the temps were fine.

I am still leaking coolant though, i have only the tyre jack so i can't have a proper look under the zed, but it is dripping DIRECTLY under the drivers side corner of the radiator. Not exactly sure where it's leaking from though. Also it only drips when the car is on.

I have work in like 2 hours, so a) what would be the most common culprit if it's leaking from the drivers side corner of the radiator? and b) Should it still be safe to drive provided I keep a bottle of water with me to top up before i leave to come back home?

Probably won't be able to find someone to fix it for another week so just want to know if it's still safe to drive for work (if it helps i only work nights so it's alot cooler).

either you have a crack in the radiator, you have a perished/cracked/split bottom hose or your clamp is loose...

I wouldn't drive it, consider 50bucks for a taxi, god knows how much for a blown engine... Take it from somebody who's been through it, don't risk driving an overheating Z...

This or leaking from the drain cock on the bottom of the radiator.
Replace the radiator hoses and clamps anyway, I would.

When mine was doing exactly this it was the radiator endtank, right down the line of where the plastic connects to the metal. New radiator fixed it.
